Privacy Policy
Effective March 11, 2026
rivo is a personal relationship memory tool. You capture notes, emails, and conversations — we extract and organize the details so you can recall them later. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What we collect
- Account information — name, email address, password
- Content you provide — text captures, forwarded emails, voice notes, chat messages
- Extracted data — people, companies, facts, tasks, dates, and sentiment that rivo identifies from your content
- Usage analytics — anonymous page views and feature usage (no personal content)
How your data is processed
When you send rivo a capture or chat message, we use third-party services to process it:
- OpenAI and Anthropic — for extraction, chat responses, and document generation
These services process your data under their API terms and do not use it to train their models.
Other services that handle your data
- Stripe — payment processing (we never see or store your full card number)
- Resend — email forwarding infrastructure
- PostHog — anonymous product analytics
- Google Contacts — optional, read-only lookup if you connect your account
What we don't do
- Sell your data
- Share it with advertisers
- Use it to train AI models
- Show you ads
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored in the United States on hosted infrastructure with encrypted connections.
Deleting your data
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. See our data deletion page for details.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email. Continued use of rivo after changes constitutes acceptance.
